Langhe Favorita DOC
Favorita is an ancient white grape with similar origins to Vermentino. From the 19th century until the early 1900s it was much prized, in distinguished circles, primarily as a table grape. Vinification of Favorita as a single varietal is first mentioned in books of the Counts of Roero in 1676. It produces fresh, mineral wines with good acidity.
Vinification: traditional with the grapes lightly crushed, de-stemmed and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for 8/10 days.
Ageing: two months in stainless steel vats and one month in the bottle.
Notes: straw yellow in colour with delicate, fresh and elegant bouquet of citrus and fruits and good acidity.
Serving Suggestion: as an aperitif or with light dishes or fresh cheese.
Serving temperature: 10°C
